Hunt Area 78, French Creek, Wyoming

High-elevation mountain terrain ranging from approximately 7,025 feet in the lower creek drainages and rolling western foothills to over 10,835 feet along the Snowy Range divide, with Medicine Bow Peak at 12,018 feet situated just north of the area boundary. Relief is substantial: rocky ridgelines, glacially carved cirques and lakes at the highest elevations, steep forested canyon walls along French Creek and Douglas Creek drainages, and gentler sage-covered slopes and open parks at lower elevations approaching the North Platte River corridor.
