About

We hunt. We love it.

FindYourUnit is built by a team of hunters who are passionate about the sport and committed to keeping it alive for the people coming up behind us.

Who we are

We're hunters. That's it. We love being in the field, we love the pursuit, and we're going to keep doing this for as long as we can. Building this site is an extension of that — a way to contribute something back to the hunting community that's given us so much.

We don't have a corporate mission statement. We're not a media company. We're just people who hunt and wanted to build something useful.

Why we built this

For generations, hunting knowledge got passed down in person. A dad who knew which units to apply for. A mentor who'd hunted the same drainage for thirty years and knew exactly where the elk went in October. An uncle who could read a topo map and tell you where the deer would be.

A lot of hunters today don't have that. They're learning from the internet — from forums, YouTube, and apps — but the information is scattered, paywalled, or just hard to find. The knowledge that used to live in families and hunting camps has never been organized in one place.

That's what we're building. A place where the hunter who never had anyone to teach them can find the same quality of information that's been handed down for generations — unit by unit, state by state, for free.

Contribute your intel

The best information about any unit comes from hunters who've been there. Every unit page has a community section. Post your reports, access updates, and honest assessments. The site gets more useful every time someone who's actually hunted a unit shares what they found.
