The flat brushland transitions from irrigated agricultural fields near the Rio Grande to prickly pear and mesquite thickets farther inland. Hunters pursue trophy-class whitetails alongside exceptional dove shooting, nilgai antelope, and javelina across a landscape defined by large private ranches and high-fence operations.
