Sign in to contributeDMZ 67 encompasses the huntable portion of High Point State Park north and east of Deckertown Turnpike (Rt. 650) in Sussex County, New Jersey's highest-elevation terrain. This northern NJ zone offers permit-only deer hunting with a mandatory antlerless-first rule and a 3-point antler restriction on bucks, plus access to black bear and spring turkey hunting in one of the state's most productive wildlife corridors.
High-elevation glaciated ridgeline and mixed hardwood forest at the apex of the Kittatinny Ridge in Sussex County; rocky outcrops, laurel thickets, and second-growth oak-maple forest with elevation approaching 1,803 ft (High Point monument); numerous streams and wetland pockets; bordered by the Delaware River watershed to the west
