Sign in to contributeAlcorn County occupies the extreme northeastern corner of Mississippi along the Tennessee border, where rolling hardwood ridges and creek hollows create terrain more reminiscent of Appalachian foothills than typical Deep South flatlands. Whitetail numbers are solid throughout the county and topographic diversity produces good natural deer movement along ridge-and-hollow travel corridors. Wild turkey populations thrive in the mature hardwood drainages, and the county offers a distinctly different hunting experience from most of Mississippi.
