Upson County falls in the Green region, qualifying for the early antlerless-only firearms weekend (October 4–5, 2025). The November 3–9 rut window aligns with the heart of firearms season for peak buck movement. Camp Thunder VPA adds a rare archery-only public option near Thomaston. Private timberland and farmland provide solid habitat throughout the county, and Green-region status means an early October 4–5 antlerless firearms window ahead of the main opener.
