Sign in to contributePike County occupies the eastern fringe of the Ouachita Mountains in southwest Arkansas where the Caddo River cuts through timbered ridges and hollows that hold solid populations of white-tailed deer and wild turkey. The county is lightly developed and largely forested, giving hunters a genuine backcountry experience close to the Oklahoma border. Public land access via the Ouachita National Forest makes this a workable destination for self-guided hunters.
